AIf you have signed the appointment letter which states 60 days as your notice period, then you are bound to obey your contract. But you may also kindly check in the terms of your appointment letter, if there are other clauses which allow the Company to waive off your notice period in one or more ways. One of the common ways is to pay off the remaining dues for the shortfall in your notice period. P.S. Some companies who hire you after you buy out your notice period in your previous company also agree to re-imburse you the money you paid your previous company for the shortfall in your notice period, due to their own requirement of hiring you on an early basis. You may cross-check this with the Company you intend to join.Labour • Asked on: 24th April 2018 • Answers: 3

AYou can sue them for what they did to you, however, i would advise you to meet a lawyer in person as soon as you can. This is not an issue that can be done with by merely giving advise.Labour • Asked on: 24th January 2018 • Answers: 2
