QAThe following steps are instrumental in settling the indicated dispute in a speedy manner - 1. Serve a legal notice to the insurance service provider fleshing out your grievance in detail demanding resolution in a time-bound manner. Demand a resolution in 15 days from the insurance service provider. 2. Formally approach the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority indicating briefly the transaction in which the insurance product was purchased. Also, please mention as far as may be possible with dates about the transactions which led to emanation of dispute between the insurance service provider and yourself. Indicate that the insurance company is mismanagement and ask the IRDAI to step in the matter. 3. The dispute if remains unsettled even till this date, then the speedy and effective remedy is to file a writ petition before the concerned High Court impleading the IRDAI and the Insurance company and the IRDAI indicating mismanagement and bad faith handling of customers.
