Born on 29/7/1966 in Mumbai in kutchhi- Gujrati family. Always been an active participant for stage activity in school.
Studied in Ram Narayan Ruia College till B.A. Philosophy and did my Law studies from New Law College.
In the year 1989, I step up into court doors at my early age of 21 to get justice for my only brother since deceased who lost his life due to marital dispute and thus had to help my family during straggled period and contribute to my parents.
In 1991, I married to Dr.Vivek Jadhav, who is doing his business of pharma consulting. I have 2 daughter's, my elder daughter Vibha is studying physiotherapy and my younger daughter Vrunda is studying medicine at a renowned institute in Mauritius.
I came in the profession in the year 1991 as LAWYER, started practice with firm Sarnaik Patil & Associates, headed by Senior Adv. Shri Rajiv Patil and Adv. Miss Seema Sarnaik, leading advocates in HIGH COURT [appellate side].
I assisted the senior in many high court cases.
Thereon, I started my independent practice from 1996, and also was associated with Sudhir Shah and associates.
I was appointed as Government pleader in the year 1999-2000.
I am practicing family Law since the inception of Family Court, in Mumbai. Following are my achievements:-
1]. Batliwala vs. Batliwala case- I made efforts in High Court whereby Muslim lady can prefer application under section 281 of Muslim Law for restitution of conjugal rights- reported in Times of India.
2]. Along with Senior Counsel Adv. Mr. Nitin Pradhan, I made efforts to provide justice in rape case of minor girl of Village Karanja, Uran, Maharastrat at Appeal stage and successfully got the order in her favor to be paid monitory compensation to her to settle in future life which was reported in news papers and T.V. serial was made.
3]. Ami Jagani’s case, deaf and dumb Girl was ill-treated by husband [ HIV+] was provided justice so reported in Abhiyan, Gujarti Magazine
4]. I am on penal of Madhyasthi Committee of Kutchhi Visa Oswal community and solving the marital dispute of my community since more than 15 years.
5]. I rescued minor maid Rameshawari from her owner in my building Royal Classic, Andheri who assaulted her brutally in the year 2012 hence I was in news channels, media.
6]. I was invited to judge inter college moot court by MKES COLLEGE OF LAW.
7]. I was invited KES LAW College to guide the student.
8]. I am handling case of Bobby Darling, transgender who is fighting divorce battle against her husband.
9]. I was awarded with certificate of Honor by Hon’ble Additional Metropolitan Magistrate, Andheri in “ Marathi Bhasha Saunvardhan Shohda” for conducting more cases in Marathi Language though being Gujrati.
10]. I delivered lecture in Rotary Vile Parle on Woman Empowerment.
11]. I delivered lecture on topic of Woman Empowerment in Kutchhi Lady Graduate Association, Mumbai.
12]. I was awarded with certificate of participation by Family Court Bar Association for participating in Seminar on Topic “ Indian Woman Getting Married to NRI’S and NRI Marital Disputes”.
My advice to today’s youth:-
Be honest:- Honesty is the best policy in my life. Honesty towards myself, my husband, my family, my society, my community and my country.
Be kind and humble:-to everyone even if it is your opponent in court.
Be knowledgeable:- so you will be advanced and survive in changing world, it is very essential to adapt to the ever changing world.
Be family person:- once you become global known to world, but the root of happiness are always in family, your parents, grandparents, relatives, your siblings, your spouse, children, so be connected with them. Always remember where you began and belong to.
